Former Chief Minister of Sikkim, Nar Bahadur Bhandari passes away

The former Chief Minister of Sikkim, Nar Bahadur Bhandari, 76 has passed away in New Delhi on Sunday. The three times Chief Ministers of state breathed his last in a hospital. Mr. Bhandari who was the founder leader of Sikkim Sangram Parishad had governed Sikkim from 1979 to 1994.

The Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling described Mr. Nar Bahadur Bhandari a worthy son of soil and in his condolence message said the state and the people of Sikkim have lost a great leader.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed grief on the death of former Chief Minister of Sikkim Nar Bahadur Bhandari. In a tweet, Mr Singh said, Nar Bahadur Bhandari was a people’s man and a pragmatic leader.
