Bhimbetka- India’s First Art Gallery

The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka are in the foothills of the Vindhyan Mountains on the southern edge of the central Indian plateau. They are a group of caves inhabited by the earliest human settlers in India. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, these rocks are famous for the numerous paintings in them, from as early as 30,000 years ago. Explore more about India’s oldest art gallery Bhimbetka with Journalist Puneet Nicholas Yadav.
