Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the new Headquarters building of the Archaeological Survey of India, Dharohar Bhwan, at Tilak Marg in New Delhi.
The new building is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including energy efficient lighting and rainwater harvesting. It also includes a Central Archaeological Library with a collection of about one lakh 50 thousand books and journals. Mr Modi also took a walk inside the ASI’s Central Archaeological Library.
Culture Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma, Culture Secretary Raghvendra Singh and Director General, Archaeological Survey of India Usha Sharma were present on the occasion.
