Alliance of Religions for Community Security expresses regret over Sri lanka attacks

The Alliance of Religions for Community Security expressed its regret over the terrorist attacks that targeted churches and hotels in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.

In its statement, the alliance condemned the attacks and highlighted the joint stance of all religions in rejecting these acts of violence and terrorism. The alliance also expressed its solidarity with the government and the people of Sri Lanka in the aftermath of the attacks, and called on the international community and religious and civil society organisations to cooperate in countering terrorism, which threatens international security and stability.

The alliance was founded in 2017 during an international conference in Rome, when the UAE proposed the idea of hosting a forum for religious leaders from around the world.
