Smart Cities cannot be constructed as elite hubs which are inaccessible for the poor and unaware. Exclusion of marginalized communities might not be considered to be hazards leading to disasters by policy makers, but it may turn out to be so in the near future if not resolved today. Hence, three extremely important problems to be addressed while making a smart city are: safety of women, children, and incoming migrant workers.
